Enhanced Pending Business

We’ve summarized the main enhancements to be aware of when submitting business for Premier Term, Strategic Accelerator® IUL 3 and Strategic Accumulator® IUL 3. As more products are moved onto our Enhanced Pending Business, the current Pending Business will be retired.

  • Shows policy delivery type (eDelivery or paper) and the date it was sent.
  • Closeout date of the case will become more prominent as it draws near.
  • Click on the policy number to view the policy packet.
  • Shows individual underwriter name for each pending case (excluding WriteAway® cases).
  • The New Business and Underwriting Team section has been renamed to ‘Message the Case Team.’ You can view and send direct messages to your dedicated POD within Pending Business and see general updates for case statuses.
  • Displays badges for underwriting type (Traditional or WriteAway®) and if case has outstanding requirements to approve. You can also filter by this information to view cases that meet certain criteria.

WriteAway® Accelerated Underwriting

Underwriting evidences are now automatically pulled when the application is submitted, allowing Midland National to determine if physical measurements and labs are required sooner. You may receive notification about this decision even before the Online Part 2 has been completed. The Online Part 2 is still required to be completed even if physical measurements and labs are required.

Agent Assist for Online Part 2 (Available with Strategic Accelerator 3 and Strategic Accumulator 3)

  • Agents now have the option within eApp to elect to have the Online Part 2 sent directly to them to complete alongside the client.
  • The option to use Agent Assist will replace the tele-interview for clients who need help completing the Online Part 2.
  • When an email address is not provided for the proposed insured, it will automatically default to the agent to assist in completing the Online Part 2.

California Only: The agent will work with their client to complete Part 2 medical questions directly on the eApp screen when the client meets the eligibility requirements for WriteAway. Agent Assist is not available in California.

WriteAway® is not available in California for Strategic Accelerator 3.

Strategic Accelerator 3 and Strategic Accumulator 3 Changes

  • Moving from daily to monthly sweeps to simplify index credits. Please view the Index Sweeps FAQ for more detail.
  • We’ve made rider updates to help simplify and modernize our offerings. Please view the specific Riders/Options Guide for Sthese two products for additional detail.
